Elder Freddie Solomon

On July 2, 1977 Elder Freddie Solomon was appointed Pastor of the Carverdale Community Church of God in Christ after the sudden death of his uncle Elder C.E. Solomon, founder and organizer of the church. The death of their leader was a major pitfall for the small church, but God always has some one in place to carry out His work. As the mantle was passed to Elder Solomon, God began to supernaturally empower and mature him for this great task. Under his leadership the church experienced much growth. As a result, the church sought to expand and in the year 1992 purchased property to build. Yet, there were many struggles but God intervened and turned every situation around for His glory. The new sanctuary was completed and dedicated to the Lord on Sunday, November 17th, 1996. However, we are not finished yet. We have completed phase two of our vision to add a wing on for our Youth Ministry, eight classroom and area for Children’s Church. Through God’s divine plan we were able to purchase two lots adjacent to our Church with plans to extend the Fellowship Hall and play area for the children.

Pastor Solomon is a scholar of the word of God; he is an anointed gospel preacher. He conducts relationship and marriage seminars. Pastor Solomon has a great love for all the members and a special love for the youth. Pastor Solomon is a highly respected leader in the Community; He is the president of the Community Alliance of Churches, president of Impact Pastors. He is a mentor to young Pastors.

Pastor Solomon is the loving and devoted husband of Lady Earlene Solomon. They are the proud parents of four children and eight grandchildren.
